Hôtel Charlemagne by Happyculture

We very much enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The location is ideal to visit on foot all the city's attractions and proximity to a train and metro station makes it a great option when traveling in and out the city. The room was a good size with an inner courtyard balcony, bathroom was clean and beds comfortable. The hotel reception was very nice, the staff very friendly and very helpful especially when we left the luggage in the storage room.

I thank the universe that I chose this hotel for a 1-day stay. I was traveling with my children to the Mont Blanc competition from Spain, and stayed for 1 night in Lyon. to rest. Great location, literally 4-5 minutes from the train station, great view from the room - a church, great conditions, good breakfast, and most importantly - incredible staff.And the reason is not just politeness, but the actions of the staff in critical situations. On the day of departure, after breakfast, I returned to the room to finish a few things on the computer and pack my things, and I suddenly and severely hurt in the area under the ribs.It was a hell of a pain, my children were scared, the staff came quickly, called an ambulance, the manager held my hand the whole time, calmed my children, who were already in shock, because I was screaming in pain, and after, when the ambulance took me away, the staff stayed with my children, bought them food,and upon my return they offered me 1 free night at the hotel! And this help is so priceless for me! I will be eternally grateful! Now I will choose only this hotel in Lyon!

Hotel was easy to get to and is not in a bad area for getting around with easy access to the metro and trams. Room good although the bed as a little firm for my liking. All the staff were amazingly helpful and answered questions quickly with good knowledge. Strongly recommend the hotel. The water fill stations are brilliant!

Spacious clean room with a very comfortable bed and large balcony and seating area. A towel rail in the bathroom which is useful for drying small items. There's a tram stop right outside to take you anywhere and a supermarket very close too. It's a bout a 30 minute walk to get to the main and historic parts of the city.

We were extremely satisfied. The hotel's location is excellent, just a 5-minute walk from Perrache Gar Station. There is a tram passing in front of the hotel, and it is close to all public transportation options. We visited during Christmas, and it was also within walking distance of the Lyon Christmas market. Old Town is about a 15-20 minute walk. The hotel was very clean, and the breakfast was great!! The staff were very friendly and helpful. I had requested a room with a city view, and they arranged it for us. Despite being in the city center, the hotel was well-insulated from outside noise. We had a very comfortable and enjoyable holiday.
